The planning phase provides the basic of the whole project. In this phase the LCE prepared- under consideration of the individual client requirements, different concepts and evaluate them.

This phase includes the following tasks:

• Determining fundamental parameters
• Drafting Specifications (including warehouse administration Systems)
• Conception with clients’ , involving the client
• Documentation / logging of the workshops
• Preparation of building plans with logistics facilities
• Preparation of concepts with all details
• Definition of all operating areas according to size and type
• System descriptions
• Demonstration, representation and evaluation of technical alternatives
• Budgeting
• Defining time schedules
• Concept ratification with the client
